Motivation for standing for election
My aim is to
- Contribute to an improved harmonization of routines of cancer registration across regions and countries - Help facilitate data sharing between countries
- Improve educational programs for cancer registrars
- Help increase the use of cancer registry data for monitoring, policy decisions and research - Improve the awareness among decision makers of the importance and utility of high quality cancer register data
- Support the education of biostaticians to apply state-of-the-art methods in the analyses of cancer register data
- Share own experience of the development of clinical cancer quality registers on a national platform
- Integration of clinical registries with population general cancer registries
- Represent the cancer registries of the northern region in the ENCR
